    • Group of friends

      The conservatory was nice.

It was advertised as a 4 star AA hotel, and it should be a 1 star AA hotel

I thought the meal was not very good - poor quality meat - the steak and veal were very chewy.

      Excellent staff

Rooms and corridors tired and dated, food average for supposed type of hotel. Not worth the £99 I paid

    • Single

Setting aside the location which was ideal for my business visits, the general feel of the the hotel was relaxed and the room was a good size.

A little bit creaky due to the timber and the room got a little warm so I had to open the windows which due to road traffic got a little noisy from 05.30, however not really an issue, as living in the South East it depends on your definition of traffic.

    • Couple

We stayed in the Indonesian Suite for 2 nights and it was a great room. The spa bath in the bedroom was lovely. There were a few conferences on in the hotel but they didn't interfere with our stay. Breakfast was very good, they catered for everyone. Dinner was also very good. We made use of the pool and sauna, all areas were very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Although the beauty treatments were a little expensive we had facials and massages which were fantastic.

The front of the hotel could do with painting and be made to look a little more inviting. We had robes in our room but we could also have done with some slippers.

    • Older travelers

Staff are friendly; rooms clean and comfortable. Good value with spa and free wi-fi.

Lack of atmosphere in the dining room and food rather over worked for our taste.

    • Older travelers

we were happy and would recomend the hotel to our friends

a rather sharp smell of gas,we were told it was nothing to worry about

    • Couple

It was very relaxing and being able to use the pool and sauna etc as well.

There were no snacks (crisps nuts etc) available to buy in the bar.

    • Couple

it was nice but dated in certain rooms. it seemed to be mid-way through refurshing as some rooms were new and some were looking old. the bedroom was okay but again, a bit dated (windows, shower) as such, felt it was a bit pricey. food was excellent though.

    • Single

Warm welcome and the very helpful night staff found me a charger when I realised I had left the one for my mobile at home

    • Couple

My wife and I took a break here on a business trip - booking the Indonesian Suite. We found it very comfortable and relaxing.

We had to call staff in to fix various items which needed repair ... the jacuzzi and the shower were not functioning at 100%, and a curtain rail fell from the ceiling. Not a complaint - more a glitch in our stay.

    • Older travelers

The room we had was a good size I think it must have been an upgrade.

Putting the postcode in for the sat nav sent us up a country lane. Not very good in the dark,

    • Group of friends

As usual the staff were very friendly and efficient, the room was excellent and very clean.

I cannot find any thing I didn,t like about the hotel, although it would be nice to have bottled water in the rooms, other than that, fantastic.

    • Couple

We really enjoyed our stay, it was very relaxing, the best part was the quietness and cleanliness of our room.

Although the room was the luxury bridal suite the bed was a little uncomfy, it could do with a could thick quality mattress but it was still a lovely stay.

    • Single

Complementary room upgrade, friendly staff with a sense of humour, good evening meal and breakfast

little way out of the town centre on poor roads to walk in on.
